I was initially seen by Dr Flanagan and Colposcopy nurse Kirsty. Both of whom were extremely caring individuals and I felt very safe in their care
Dr Flanagan then referred me to Dr Bolapragada to have a hysterectomy
My entire experience was a credit to the NHS
The pre-op assessment while a lengthy period made sure I was well prepared and knew exactly what would happen to me
On arrival at Ward 32 I had a warm welcome from Sam and was looked after by him and Linda until Shona and Leighann came to collect me for theatre. They put me at ease on the way to theatre and assured me they would be with me when I came out of theatre.
Dr Bolapragada saw me before my surgery and again reassured me. The anaesthetist also came to see me and reassured me.
My surgery went well and on my return to the ward I received excellent care
Dr Bolapragada visited me in the evening and gave me information on how my operation went
I was able to be discharged the next day and felt very well looked after in the ward by all staff
Everyone introduced themselves and nothing was too much trouble for anyone
My husband was made very welcome in the area and was able to visit anytime which was great or us both
I had a very positive experience and would like to thank everyone who was involved in my care You are a credit to the NHS
Thank you
"I had a very positive experience"
