About: Children's Specialist Health Services / Children's Speech & Language Therapy

(as a service user),

Our 13 year old daughter was just discharged from the Speech & Language Service in North Lanarkshire, as she moves on to a specialist school.

She was under the care of Julie and our family couldn't be happier with the level of care provided.

Throughout her primary years, our daughter was lucky enough to have a dedicated, professional, friendly, effective professional in Julie and it's no stretch to say that Julie's input has changed the course of our little girls' life (and by extension our family's).

She was present at every relevant meeting, always prepared, always proactive, knowledgeable, on top of the situation and often went above and beyond for us.

Our family couldn't be more grateful and it's our hope that Julie's dedication is recognised internally.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about you experience of speech and language therapy and in particular working with Julie. It is lovely to hear that the work undertaken with your daughter has had such a positive impact on her and your family throughout her primary educational years.

I will pass on your thanks to Julie, herself and also to our Professional Head of Speech and Language Therapy, our Children's Services General Manager and our Director for Allied Health Professions to ensure Julie's work and dedication is recognised.

May I wish your daughter all the best as she moves on to High School.
