(as the patient),

I had to attend A&E due to complications from recent surgery. I received swift treatment from a lovely doctor and nurse. I found them to be kind, supportive and completely -on the ball- . They went out of their way to reassure myself and my husband and the whole experience was exemplary. I just don't know what the local community would do without our local A&E department and the wonderful staff who work tirelessly to support our residents. I don't know what they get paid, but I'd double it.

Thank you very much for your lovely post following your Emergency Department attendance at Cowal Community Hospital.

I am sorry to hear that you experienced complications following your surgery but am delighted to hear that you received such good care from the Doctor and Nursing staff.

It is always a pleasure to receive such kind comments and to know that the staff at NHS Highland are appreciated both for their hard work and for their attitude towards patients.

I have forwarded your feedback to the relevant team and asked that managers share this with all the staff involved in your care.
