"A lovely ward and staff"

About: North Devon District Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was recently admitted to the Jubilee Ward at NDDH. I cannot speak more highly of the care i received from all the staff from the Sister Julie down to Jane and Rose from Sodexo. They just couldn't do enough, very considerate of the pain you were in and trying to best help with that. I did have a weird effect to the local anaesthetic that was administered to my knee and for a couple of days, couldn't feel my leg from the thigh down to my toes. The ward staff and the physio's were all understanding and helped me to feel relaxed and to deal with this. Thankfully on the 3rd day, sensation had returned to this leg. The food was really good. Compliments to the kitchen staff. I will hope that i will return to this ward for my other knee replacement. A lovely ward and staff.
