"A tear in my Achilles"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

I think it’s important to praise the NHS when it’s deserved. I attended Monklands A&E with an injury to my Achilles after a consultation with NHS 111. I was expecting a long wait but was seen within an hour in minor injuries. The treatment I received was outstanding. I was seen by nurse Yvonne  who diagnosed my condition and arranged for me to have an ultrasound examination. I was out within two hours. Please convey my thanks to nurse Yvonne a true professional and a credit to the NHS. Likewise the staff at the Ultrasound clinic. I have in the past felt disappointed in the treatment my mother and mother in law received at this hospital where they both died however I didn’t make a complaint. I'm a supporter of the NHS and support the staff and clinicians in their endeavours.

Dear Brido

Thank you for sharing your experience of UHM ED.

I am so pleased to hear that the nurses spoke to you throughout and took excellent care of you without too much delay. This must have been very reassuring and helped you feel at ease.

I look forward to passing your kind words to the whole team who will get a real boost from hearing your feedback.

I hope you are recovering well.

Kind Regards,

Jen
