(as a relative),

My dad had a stroke and was admitted to Monklands hospital in mid May.

I, my mum and brothers were very scared of what would happen next. Every single person we made contact with,  nurses, Doctors, consultants,  auxiliary staff, porters and Admin were amazing.

My dad stayed in hospital until the second half of May where very sadly he succumbed to the effects of the stroke.

We as a family can't thank everyone enough for the care, attention respect and maintaining his dignity throughout. A special thanks to everyone on the stroke ward.

They made a very difficult situation easier to bear with us knowing he was being exceptionally well looked after...

Firstly, please accept my condolences on the loss of your dad. Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback, particularly at what will be a very difficult time for you, your mum and brothers.

I am pleased to hear of the experience you had on the Stroke Ward, and I will pass your feedback to the Senior Charge Nurse and the wider team, who will be delighted to receive this. It is really important, at such a difficult and vulnerable time, that your dad and you as a family are reassured, cared for and comforted, and I am glad that the team were able to support you in this way.
