A lady suffering from delusions and in the early stages of dementia was transferred from a hospital in the north to WPH, with the intention from the team in the north that she would be referred on to a community hospital/local care team to determine how she could be supported at home.
WPH discharged her home with 24 hours of arrival with nothing more than a recommendation to her GP for referral to a 'memory clinic.' The lady in question (in her 70s) lives alone. You could not make it up.
