"They genuinely care about others in their time of need"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / West of Scotland Major Trauma Ward (ward 1c)

(as the patient),

Exceptional level of service from all the staff on ward 1c and also 10d which I first went into.

While I have seen many times the good work of the NHS dealing with family and friends over the years I have been lucky enough in life to reach near the half century without ever having being admitted to hospital.

Until now.

To see the workforce in action with my own eyes was quite something.

Each and every one.

The porters, cleaning staff, catering staff - first class.

The Nurses. Long shifts day and night all carried out with the utmost professionalism, genuine care and with a smile on the face. Amazing.

Surgeons and Doctors. All outstanding/excellent and again working with a smile. It must be difficult but makes such a difference to the patient.

A real international blend pulling in the same direction the way the world should be.

My stay in hospital really has solidified my faith in humanity that so many genuinely care about others in their time of need.

Much appreciated, many thanks and keep up the good work guys.

Dear carinacm69,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share this wonderful feedback.

It is really reassuring to hear that you felt so well cared for and encouraging to hear about the real team effort of all disciplines of staff involved in making your stay a truly positive experience.

I will be sure to share this feedback with the Lead Nurse for these wards who will share with the teams.

I wish you the best for your onward recovery.

Kindest regards

Debbie Macintyre
