"Living with someone who has a drug addiction"

About: Parent Support Link

(as a parent/guardian),

In September 2023 I found out that my son had an addiction to Ketamine and prescription drugs, I didn’t know where to turn he was exhibiting physical symptoms but our GP surgery did not want to know. I found Inclusion online and within an hour of completing the initial form I had a call back giving me lots of useful advice and put me in touch with Steve.

I can not tell you just how much Steve has supported me through what I can only describe as the worst 2 years of my life! He has been a life saver literally and has given us invaluable advice, support to both myself and my son.

The monthly support group has been so helpful to listen to other people’s stories and knowing you are not alone, the confidentiality it’s been so supportive. At one point I found myself really struggling with guilt, that feeling of complete helplessness and Steve put me in touch with a counsellor which has been life changing for me. I want to say thank you Steve for being so supportive without your support I do not know where we would be!
