I'm genuinely sorry to write such a scathing review in such a difficult time for public services. However, I genuinely feel that this service is critically insufficient and fundamentally broken. I had a major depressive episode last year to the point of not being in school. After finally making it though the waiting list I found this service completely unhelpful and as they lacked capacity to see me. I felt misunderstood and patronised by the service. In my experience, this centre is insufficient to the point of redundancy in ther services they provide. Just today I found my sister has also been failed by this service. This week she saved her girlfriend's life after she tried to kill herself. She is facing major surgery. Yet, this service, ostensibly set up to help 'anxiety and depression' found her not to be struggling enough to treat. I am indescribably disappointed in how this service fails to provide the most basic care. Gatekeeping talking therapy and waiting for people to get worse before even providing CBT is completely unacceptable. This service must be looked at by the NHS because it is broken.
