"Shockingly Awful Care"

About: Chase Farm Hospital

I first attended the clinic in July 2024 due to pain and swelling. After a Mammogram, Ultrasound, MRI and Biopsy I was informed that my breast implants (which were originally inserted by the NHS) have ruptured and need to be removed. Initially, I was told that surgery would be in a couple of weeks. However, at June 2025 I am still waiting! No one has seen me in person since September 2024. I had a pointless telephone appointment in November 2024 where I was told to sit tight and wait. Having tried to chase up with the department (voicemail system) I finally had a call back in March 25, when I was again told to just keep waiting and was then offered phone numbers to counselling services. When the email arrived, the contact were all for cancer care which is not appropriate. Nearly a year after the initial bad news I am now still waiting for surgery to remove the implants. Pain and discomfort are increasing but nobody seems to care. Shockingly awful level of patient care!
