"Child’s ENT"

About: Altnagelvin Area Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

We had to travel to Derry for a follow up ENT appointment for my 7yo from Fermanagh. When we arrived there was a lovely gentleman volunteer who helped us get checked in.

After only waiting for about 10mims, Ruairi called us for a hearing test, he was so good with my inquisitive 7yo and explained everything to him, asking him how he was throughout the test and joking with him. Then we went in to speak with the Dr (Mariead) who was just as nice and spoke to my 7yo and involved him.

Although the drive was long there and back, the staff were so kind and engaging with my 7yo which made a big difference to the experience. My 7yo was able to tell his daddy & brother about what happened and what he was told.

Thank you.

Good Morning Maytime25

Many thanks for acknowledging our volunteer at Out Patients, Altnagelvin Hospitals. Our volunteers aim to make the experience of attending hospital a little easier so I'm glad to hear the support you received was helpful and added to an overall positive visit.

Best wishes

Geoff
