"Intensive care"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Accident & emergency Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Intensive care unit

(as the patient),

I was sent an ambulance straight away knowing my health history and taken straight to A&E then rushed to resuss. The staff from start to beginning doing there best to save me.

Unknowingly at a young age I had pneumonia in both lungs and ended fighting for my life in Intensive care  for just under 2 weeks. I was overseen by many incredible nurses and specialist's specifically Amanda in my first few days which was the biggest hurdle - the love and compassion she gave to me was second to none and I’ll be forever greatful. I left on my birthday with a lovely card and cake they made me feel so special. Can’t thank all of them enough . Well done ICU

So pleased that you have made it through, what must have been, a very traumatic time. Thank you for your kind words. The nursing team on our ICU are a committed, professional team who will always go the extra mile to help our patients. It is always nice to get feedback to realise that their hard work is appreciated. I will ensure that this is passed on.

Best wishes for your ongoing recovery.
