"The care and attention my sister received was exceptional"

About: Musgrave Park Hospital / Day Procedure Unit - Withers 5A Musgrave Park Hospital / Ward 4B

(as a relative),

My sister who has severe learning difficulties and cerebral palsy was admitted to Withers Orthopaedic at Musgrave for a knee replacement. After careful consideration it was deemed necessary to do a total hip replacement before a knee replacement.

My sister was under the care of Mr Nixon and he worked hand in and with Mr Dobie to ensure that the process was issue free. From the very beginning of her journey the care and attention my sister received was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, the process was explained every step of the way.

I was able to accompany her to theatre until she was sedated and then permitted to join her in recovery. The theatre staff were exceptional and when we arrived in ward 4B the care package was phenomenal The nursing team, physio team and ancillary staff couldn't do enough for us..

The experience was exceptional, from her first outpatient visit to pre-op, xray and threatre and after care. Well done Musgrave an excellent service and package of care.

We are exceptionally grateful x
