"Irregular contact with CATS"

About: Stracathro Hospital / Continence Advisory & Treatment Service - Stracathro

(as the patient),

I have had some issues for a while and decided to reach out for help. The staff that I have seen at CATS have been helpful, polite, and caring.

Internal examination and samples taken and assessed. Unfortunately so far nothing is working, and I have been referred back to my GP.

My biggest bugbear is that the NHS generally, don't treat anyone as a 'whole' person. It's more like a lego person, the sum of lots of parts. I'm sure that this issue is related to others that I have, and being post-menopausal.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and I am glad to hear you found our nurses to be helpful polite and caring, I am sorry however to hear that you have found no improvement in your symptoms and feel being referred back to your GP has left you feeling that there has not been as joined up approach to your care as you would have liked.

I would like to look into this matter more fully to understand your journey to see if we can offer any other support or advice regards to your care and specifically around your concerns around the level of joined up approach to your individual circumstances and wonder if you would like to have a discussion with me as the lead nurse - ask that you email our service requesting a call back to discuss feedback and I will aim to do that with you.

Our email address is TAY.continenceaandtservice@nhs.scot - my name is Lisa Henry.
