"Made a difficult situation much easier to manage"

Our daughter was recently referred to the children’s department at Daisy Hill Hospital through the Phone First service. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere and shown to a side room. Nurse Siobhan greeted us with kindness and immediately helped us feel at ease.

Throughout our time there, every consultant introduced themselves clearly and took the time to explain what was happening as our daughter’s condition progressed. She was thoroughly checked and tested with great care. A particular mention goes to the ENT consultant, who showed exceptional patience and perseverance during the assessment.

We were also especially grateful for the consultant who was called specifically to help reassure our daughter. Her gentle and compassionate approach made a world of difference in calming her fears and building trust during what could have been a very frightening experience for her.

We truly cannot fault the medical support or the gentleness shown by every member of staff. Their professionalism, empathy, and clear communication made a difficult situation much easier to manage. We are extremely thankful for the outstanding care our daughter received.
