"Care in adolescence gynaecology clinic"

I would like to share my sincere appreciation and gratitude for the exceptional care my 16-year-old daughter received during her recent consultation at the Adolescent Gynaecology Clinic with Dr.  Shingshetty.

From the outset, Dr. Shingshetty demonstrated an outstanding level of compassion, professionalism, and person-centred care. What stood out most was the time and attention given to truly get to know my daughter—not just her symptoms, but also how she was feeling, her concerns, and what mattered most to her. Her voice was not only heard but truly respected throughout the consultation.

It was a personal and in-depth experience that left both of us feeling reassured and confident in the plan of care. The atmosphere was calm and unhurried, allowing space for open conversation, explanation, and understanding. Dr Shingshetty treated my daughter with dignity and empathy, ensuring that she felt safe, supported, and fully involved in decisions about her health.

As a parent, it is deeply comforting to know that our young people are being cared for by professionals who not only bring clinical expertise but also genuine warmth and humanity to their practice. We feel very fortunate to have been seen by such a dedicated medical team who go above and beyond to ensure young patients are treated holistically and with kindness.

This experience has left a lasting positive impression, and I want to thank Dr Shingshetty and the wider adolescent gynae team at NHS Grampian for their outstanding care. It is reassuring to know that services like this exist for young women who need not only medical input but also emotional understanding and thoughtful engagement in their healthcare journey.
