My mother has advanced Alzheimers. We have been waiting now for 6.5 hours for an ambulance to collect her from the hospital and return her to her nursing home. The staff at the hospital have phoned several times to find out how much longer we will have to wait and the last time we were advised it will be around 7.30pm - that will be a 7 hour wait!!
