I have just been discharged from the Disordered Eating Service and would like to share my views.
My therapist was Anne. I cannot put into words how wonderful she is at her job. She made me feel comfortable from the beginning and allowed us to use humour within the sessions so they weren't extremely formal. This put me at ease and helped to quickly build a trusting relationship.
I have had disordered eating for 20 years now. I have been under many services including being in an eating disorder unit for anorexia. Of all the support I've received over the years nothing has helped me as much as the input I had from Anne. What a wonderful woman. If you need someone to help boost your self-esteem/self-confidence, she's the go to person! Anne is kind and compassionate and to have someone listen and understand my feelings/emotions felt extremely validating. She shared my highs and lows with me and I think it's important for people to know when they've had a significant impact on your life.
I just wanted to share my views as I feel Anne is a real asset to your team. Please feel free to share this email with Anne and pass on my thanks. She's really helped to change my life.
The disordered eating service is an absolutely vital service for people like me. Not only does it help to turn your life around, it also helps in saving peoples lives who are at rock bottom. If this service were unavailable to others like me I can't begin to think of the detrimental impact it would have on peoples lives (both sufferers and their family members).
