I was seen to by Dr E, locom Consultant Neurologist on the 10/6/25 at 11.23, he was incredible. Firstly, the check in service at outpatients didn’t work for me, as soon as I entered his consulting room he immediately apologised for this and also for keeping me waiting (I had only waited 15 mins). Dr E listened acutely to my concerns about my essential tremor, he also took note of additional information about an episode of tga, which occurred last year. He explained the difference between a tremor and Parkinson’s. He then did several tests and explained what he was doing. He then gave a detailed explanation as to the treatment which was available to me for my tremors along with alternatives. He didn’t make me feel that I had wasted his professional time and instead told me that the consultation was extremely important. Dr E then noted everything we had discussed and followed this up with a detailed letter of our consultation. The letter was incredibly thorough and completely allayed my concerns about Parkinson’s disease. I left the hospital feeling extremely satisfied with the service I received and trusted Dr E completely. The follow up was reassuring and again put me at ease and I now feel I no longer have to contact my GP about my condition. I would like Dr E to be thanked personally for the incredible support and reassurance he showed to me and also for the follow up letter I received. I might add my mother had a consultation on the 4/3/25 and a CT scan on the 11/3/25 in Urology and to date she has heard nothing. The difference between these two departments is quite unbelievable! Thank you so much Dr E.
