"Has certainly set the benchmark for excellence"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Surgery Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Orthopaedic Ward B23

(as the patient),

Having waited approximately 2 years for a full knee replacement i was contacted and asked if i would be prepared to travel to the Forth Valley Hospital to have this procedure carried out ,my answer to this question was yes as my situation was quite desperate at this point.

From the get go the treatment i received from all aspects of the Arthroplasty department was nothing short of complete excellence  and to add to this on the day of my operation i was treated with the greatest respect before and after.

The aftercare whilst briefly for the one night i was there was a very comforting experience as the nurses couldn’t do enough for me, leaving hospital the following day the staff made sure that i was supplied with the necessary pain relief and anything else i may have needed.

My six week check took place recently and i was assured by Tracy the Arthroplasty nurse that everything was ok and i was doing well, every aspect of the recovery time table was covered leaving me in a very good mental state, i cant thank this team enough for what they have done for me and for the future of the NHS.

There had been a point in my life that i felt that the NHS was letting a lot of people down but after this experience i can assure you that this has diminished. Lastly i would like to add this last comment,

The Forth Valley Hospital has certainly set the benchmark for excellence

And long may this continue .

Thank you for everything.
