"Wouldn't be were I am today without her"

About: Addiction services / Community Alcohol and Drugs Services Addiction services / The Asha Centre

(as the patient),

I've been an addict for around 20 years. My addiction was alcohol, I have struggled along time physically and mentally due to my addiction.

I seeked help through the Omagh Community addiction team I was assigned a key worker called Emma, Emma has helped me though a lot of fears including going to rehab and social settings

Here I am finished 4 weeks of the Asha centre rehab sober and feeling grateful to have this opportunity, I am feeling a lot more confident  within myself. The staff within the Omagh Community Addiction Team and The Asha Centre have been beyond helpful and very supportive through my journey within Asha I have gained a lot of knowledge and education to help with my recovery, they have made me feel at ease and safe within the environment.

My fellow peers within Asha have been very supportive and kind throughout each of our recovery journeys. I am looking forward to a sober future and continuing to work with my key worker Emma as without her I wouldn't be were I am today thriving and sober.

Dear 'jnc180'

I would like to thank you on behalf of the Asha team for your very kind piece of feedback. It is wonderful to hear that your experience within Asha was a positive one. Your story also highlights the positive relationship you have with your community keyworker and the preparation involved before coming through our doors.

I have passed on your kind comments to all Asha team members, as well as your community keyworker.

We would like to wish you all of the best in your ongoing recovery journey. Please don't hesitate to access the post-Asha support options such as; Tuesday morning meditation group, Monday night AA meeting and Thursday night NA meeting.
