"The care I received was unbelievable"

I gave birth to my daughter early March. From the minute I called triage to say I was in labour to me leaving the hospital the next day, every member of staff was amazing. I felt so comfortable, listened to and the care I received was unbelievable. 

I am especially grateful to the midwife Gillian and student midwife Taylor who guided me through my labour and birth. As this was my first child they made me feel so at ease and advocated for me and my needs. They were so friendly, caring and incredible at their job. I will forever be thankful for the experience I had and that was mainly down to them. 

There were other midwives during my birth that were also brilliant, and the addition of aromatherapy was amazing. I also thought the birthing room was lovely and calming, and wasn’t at all the clinical setting that I imagined it would be. 

My overnight stay in the maternity ward was great, and the staff were so supportive and attentive. They answered any questions I had and also helped start my breastfeeding journey. 

Overall I couldn’t have had a better experience and I am so grateful for this!
