Having been taken by ambulance to Treliske late May, it was determined I was suffering ( understatement ) from a gall bladder that was both swollen and infected. Im not the best patient, penicillin allergic among other things including most pain relief, the staff on Emergency surgical unit were amazing and eased my pain and settled me in more ways than just medically. From there I was transferred to PCU for seven days for more observation and treatment and I can honestly say, the staff of both were absolutely amazing as were the surgeons who kept me informed daily.
I’m so grateful to all of those involved, I was afraid, still am, I think of the pain more than anything else but, I couldn’t have been in more watchful caring hands from the domestic upwards, they all made a frightening time as pain free as could be and I genuinely cannot say a bad word about any of the staff on both units as well as the A&E doctor who ran with a bunch because I wasn’t presenting some symptoms associated with acute Cholecystitis and feared being sent home again as in the past with suspected IBS and an Oesophageal spasm in another instance. Thank you A&E doctor and nurses that helped me there when I collapsed.
Regards to all and Thank you to all
"Excellent care by staff during a very painful frightening time"
