"Made to feel at ease even though I was a bit nervous"

About: Victoria Hospital / Pre-assessment

(as the patient),

Today I had an appointment with my pre-assessment nurse Jeanette at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.

She was a lovely lady who took me through my personal journey for my forthcoming surgery. I was made to feel at ease even though I was a bit nervous. She kept asking if I understood the details involved in my procedure and to stop if I wasn’t sure.

In the end I am now looking forward to my surgery and I wish to thank all the staff especially Jeanette for all her help. Many thanks

Dear Keneil,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your pre-assessment appointment.

I am delighted to hear that Jeanette was lovely and explained your surgical journey to you, making you feel at ease.

It is important to us that patients feel well informed and supported ahead of surgery.

On behalf of the pre-assessment team I wish you well with your upcoming surgery and recovery.

Kind regards

Stephanie Allan
