"Each time we were seen quickly"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

My son has an inguinal hernia. This has popped out 3 times in the last 2 weeks. We have had to visit the A&E dept at Victoria hospital each time to have it pushed back in.

Each time we were seen quickly, even with a busy waiting area. All the staff, in particular, senior doctor Mike, were welcoming and upbeat, spoke to my son and made him feel at ease.

Procedures and processes were explained and I felt my son was included in all of this. It’s not a very nice thing for him to have done, but he talks of going to the hospital happily, he is not scared or reluctant to go and I feel this is due to the way the staff supported us.

Hello TE6185,

Many thanks for taking the time to send feedback to the Emergency Department it is very pleasing to hear that you and your son have had a positive experience and seen and treated in a good time frame.

It is lovely to hear a good rapport and explanation of the process too.

Hope your son is recovering well and not having too many issues.

Thanks again

Lauren
