"Thoroughly decent, caring people"

About: Victoria Hospital / Day Intervention Unit Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a relative),

I'm writing on behalf of my elderly Mum who was recently in Endoscopy. I want to thank everyone involved in her care. The tone was set in a pre-procedure phone call. The above-and-beyond kindness and professionalism shown to both of us was a credit to everyone involved in this unit.

Mr Evgenikos, Scott, others whose names I wish I could remember - lovely nurses, everyone was so pleasant, as well as so professional.

The ward was spotless, I noticed the lady who was cleaning it repeatedly, although she does her best to be unobtrusive.

This unit operates to the highest standards - but the humanity of the staff is just as important, and I can only thank them for their consideration and compassionate care. These are thoroughly decent, caring people that you are fortunate to meet with when not at your best.

Dear Goldcrest,

My name is Vivien Boylan and I am the Charge Nurse in Day Intervention Unit.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us with your feedback. I am pleased to read all kind comments regarding you and your mum’s experience. The pre-procedure call is relatively new process for our unit so I am glad you found this beneficial. I will pass on your thanks to the rest of the team for their kindness, professionalism and compassionate care.

I hope your mum is recovering well.

Kind Regards

Vivien
