Hello,
I had an endoscopy today May 30th and I was petrified, I have severe anxiery and sensory issues and I came here expecting the worse time. But everyone played there role and assisted me.
I do remember panicking a little but the team were amazing professionals reassuring and overall amazing.
Some nurses I wish to mention on the endoscopy unit all I remember is one of them was a nurse in bright blue with the first name beginning with T.
I've never met someone so kind, so caring and so dedicated to there work. She talked me through the procedure, relayed my concerns to the Dr
And helped me relax and calm down, I couldn't of done it without her reassurances as I was prepared to walk out.
The other nurse I'd love to give credit too I believe her name began with L or I could be butchering it too and I apolgoose. But they were so helpful in taking time to put the cannula in, explaining breathing techniques. And just an overall amazing person and team.
I left feeling a little panicky still (That's just me) but left reassured that things went great and that's all I wanted.
With all the Cuts the government makes to the NHS the level or care has never dropped and I'm so thankful I live in a country with our NHS.
