"Warmth and understanding"

Following a recent cancer diagnosis, I had genetic testing carried out, as suggested by Kirsten. 

It's a worrying time, realising that you need to be tested and then waiting for your results. I have to praise Kirsten for her level of warmth and understanding. Whilst obviously a very knowledgeable professional, she possesses the ability to build trust, didn't rush through any discussions, answered my questions and gave me the time to express my emotions. 

I felt that she genuinely cared about me and how my life, and potentially that of my wider family, could be impacted by the results. Honestly, I couldn't have wished for a nicer member of staff to support me through it.
