I frequently have to bring my father for nurse and doctor appointments to this practice. Generally I find reception staff reasonably helpful. Today I was trying to book in another appointment for my father but unfortunately the request for a test had not yet been received from the hospital. (Results needed for hospital appointment next week). I was trying to coordinate this blood test with a nurse appointment already scheduled for next Monday. I appreciate that the practice has its protocols, and needs a request for the test, however I was made to feel like I was a time waster. No compassion or kindness just “No”. I take time off work to bring my Dad for appointments but was told by the receptionist I would need to take more time off. Rude and disrespectful and made me very upset. I am only trying to do my best for my very sick, elderly father. It feels like a constant fight. Some kind words would have been better. This is not the first time that this receptionist has made me cry.
