"I have been shown Dignity and Respect"

About: Cancer Services / Radiotherapy Cancer Services / Ward 32 Oncology Clinics (outpatients)

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with cancer early February. Started hormone treatment mid February ,Radiotherapy started beginning of may .

Within this time i have been shown Dignity and Respect throughout my treatment .This has helped going through the traumatic after effects I have had. I was given medication which has helped.

From the receptionist right through  to the radiographer and consultant they have helped myself and my family get through this stage. Thank you   My self and fellow patients have enjoyed the sweets at the desk ! !

The friendly faces and smiles go a long way in helping with the journey..

Dear hawkqt96,

My name is Jenna-one of the therapeutic radiographers from the radiotherapy team. Thank you so much for taking the time to feedback your experience and it is so lovely to hear that you have felt like you have been treated with dignity and respect throughout your journey. I can pass this onto the rest of the team.

The side effects of treatment can be alot to handle and I'm sorry to hear that these were difficult for you. Hopefully the medication you have been given will continue to help with this but please get in touch if you need any further advice-we are here and happy to help you.

Glad you enjoyed the sweets!

On behalf of the radiotherapy team, we wish you all the best.

Take care,

Jenna
