"Treated with compassion and sensitivity"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was referred to Wishaw hospital for a Perianal abscess. I was quickly seen, and the diagnosis confirmed. The staff treated me with compassion and sensitivity at this initial stage.

I was told to return for surgery the next morning, where I was met by Sandra, nurse in charge. Again the care I received could not be bettered. All steps and stages were clearly explained. The anaesthetist and surgeon again, clearly explained all aspects of the surgery involved, which went very smoothly from my perspective. In the recovery area, Tracey and others could not have been more caring

I was released with the necessary documentation and medication

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for the staff within Day Surgery at University Hospital Wishaw.

I'll be sure to pass on your kind words to Sandra and the team. I am pleased to hear that you were treated with compassion and care and that you were well informed throughout your treatment

I hope you are recovering well at home.

Best Wishes
