"Exceptional service and care"

Last Friday I had to take my son to A & E with an acute abdominal swelling and severe pain. I cannot speak highly enough of the care he received in A & E and the acute Medical Ward, where he spent the night before being transferred to Urology.

He was triaged within 15 minutes, admitted and seen by a doctor within 30 minutes, and had been given antibiotics, pain relief and had a CT scan within a couple of hours.

Every staff member we with whom we dealt was kind, empathetic and professional. Given the challenges under which the NHS is labouring, the service was exemplary and could not be faulted.

We are extremely grateful for the care and kindness received from everyone. You are a shining example of what the NHS can be. Thank you.
