"Fitness after hospital stay"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as the patient),

Following a six and a half week stay in the Belfast City Hospital, I left feeling weak and without energy.

Two to three months later I started a gentle fitness class in The Cancer Centre and attended weekly for three months. I found it helpful to exercise with others, all of whose stories were different to mine. Attending the classes gave me confidence to push myself a bit more and as I started to feel more energetic I felt good and more like myself and was able to do more exercise daily. Joe the trainer was very supportive and encouraging and I'm thankful for this important service which I was able to take advantage of.

Hi Aaaa

Thank you so much for taking the time to voice your thoughts on the service provided by our physical activity coach. It is great to hear that you found it helpful to exercise with other people who were going through a similar situation and that the classes gave you the confidence to exercise more and feel more like yourself. Please continue to keep active and I will make sure to let Joe know about your great feedback.

Kind Regards
