"We received a high level of care"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

From start to finish our pregnancy journey for our 2nd baby has been faultless. We have been so lucky to be supported by excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Lyndsay was our community midwife, who was very supportive.  It was appreciated having the same midwife from 8 week appointment to our discharge post 10 days from birth.   when it came to our elective c section date we were extremely well looked after by all staff, in particular Mariette.

The team in theatre created a very relaxed atmosphere, whilst giving us a feeling of safety the entire time! Follow up support has been available and most appreciated. During our pregnancy we felt supported, informed and received a high level of care!

We are aware NHS is struggling just now but all staff who have helped us are a credit to the organisation.

Thank you Lpate for taking the time to feed back to us.

I am delighted you have been so well cared for throughout your pregnancy through to the birth and postnatal period. It is also lovely to hear that you have received excellent continuity of care from your Community Midwife.

Congratulations on the birth of your baby, I will share your kind words with the team!

Kind Regards

Claire
