"Treatment Plan following Knee Injury"

About: Trust Wide Physiotherapy Services / Physiotherapy Paediatric Service

(as a parent/guardian),

Following a fractured knee cap and 6 week full leg cast, full rehabilitation was required.

My daughter attended physiotherapist attached to Kilrea Health Centre.  She received a full explanation of her injury, using lovely age appropriate language and use of model.

The physio spend time engaging with my daughter building up a rapport with her, which as a result the assessment went very well with my daughter co-operating with all parts without any difficulty even after such a bad injury.  Using communication she alleviated all my daughter's fears, worries and anxieties and the appointment was excellent.

She also gave my daughter a range of exercises to follow at home to establish strength and movement back into the knee.

We were also seen quickly, in a timely matter which has aided recovery greatly.

Dear Charlie53

Thankyou for taking the time to provide feedback on the recent physiotherapy your daughter received at Kilrea Health Centre. I am pleased to hear that you both had a positive experience and I will ensure your feedback is passed onto staff and management. I hope your daughter is doing well and she continues to make a full recovery.

Kind Regards Suzanne Kennedy Consultant Physiotherapist
