I am writing to thank the nurses and doctors on ward 15 after my recent experience as an inpatient overnight there. Having had two very bad experiences at UHND in the past (maternity and A+E) I was dreading having to go as an inpatient here. However I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience on ward 15.
All members of staff were respectful and helpful. The doctor that I saw was very human and immediately connected with my needs, and the nurses who looked after me were very kind, diligent and caring. I genuinely felt in good hands.
The facilities were clean and I was particularly grateful that, when they saw me wearing a mask (as I am vulnerable to Covid reinfection), everyone wore a mask when interacting with me from that point forward without my having to ask. This contributed to my feeling safe and listened to as a patient.
"I genuinely felt in good hands"
