"Poor communication"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Day Procedure Unit

(as the patient),

I have only ever left positive reviews here, but this experience was bad.

I had a 100-minute wait for this procedure to happen, then was told that they couldn't do it because I took medication that they didn't tell me not to take.

I left work 2 hours early to come here and will have to do it again in a few weeks.

Staff here should have told me not to take the medication and they should have rang me to tell me that there was a wait of more than an hour to give me the chance to arrive later in the day.

Good afternoon,

Thanks for taking the time to send this message as we appreciate all feedback whether it is positive or negative in our efforts to continually improve our service.

I am sorry read you had a negative experience in RVH Endoscopy.

It difficult to give note when like life our lists can take unexpected twists and turns.

I am sorry your appoint was on one of then days.

You should have received a letter with a paragraph advising you to contact the waiting list team if your taking certain medication, I am sorry if you did not receive this letter.

I hope on your next visit we get the chance to put things right with yourself.

Our team is normally very efficient and supportive so I hope you see this during next visit.

Kind regards

Clare
