Had medical incident whilst shopping in Manchester and which resulted me in collapsing on the stores escalator. I was unconscious for some time and suffered head injuries from my collapse. I was blue lighted to Manchester Royal Infirmary by 2 extremely professional ambulance personnel who kept me fully informed about my condition as far as they could tell and did it with respect, courtesy and more importantly with some humour to put me at ease. I was taken straight to Resus, hooked up to all kinds of machines and was eventually sent for a head and chest scan. The staff were very professional with individual members who had their own particular expertise to administer. It was all done with a high degree of expertise and again with some humour. At the end of the day what I suffered was described as a 'medical incident' and with no obvious cause. and I was later discharged after having my head injuries attended too. In all although a frightening experience but treated fantastically well by brilliant staff. My son traveled from Preston to collect me and the only issued he found was that he couldn't get in Resus to pick me up, but no complaint.
"Great Service"
