"Parenting group"

About: Family Support Hubs / Family Support Hub - Rutherglen & Cambuslang

(as a parent/guardian),

I have started a parenting group called IY.

This group and the workers have helped me so much. With confidence and alot of strategies to help me better deal with my sons behaviour and meltdowns.

Before I started this group I could not cope with my son on my own and it was causing me a lot of problems with his behaviour. Now I can cope with him on my own and out on the go. This group has made me a lot calmer and happier, I am able to cope with my son's challenging behaviour with all the strategies I have took home and also I am able to teach my husband and family these as well.

I wish this wasn't ending I am going to miss the support I received. I am very happy with all I have learned.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to the Camglen Family Support Hub and for sharing your story.

I am delighted to hear you have had a positive experience working with the support workers.

Your experience of attending groupwork and your involvement within the hub highlights to the staff the importance of being there for families and hopefully your story will encourage others in similar situations to come along.

I hope that you and your family are well and wish you all the best moving forward. I will ensure to share your feedback with the team.

If you require any additional information please do not hesitate to contact anyone within our Family Support Hub.

Kind regards

Elizabeth Marshall
