(as the patient),

I recently  went in for surgery at the Bev Stokes Unit, this is the 2nd time here and both times staff have been absolutely fantastic.

From the surgeon to anaesthetist they were amazing. The anaesthetist did struggle to place my IV but kept me chatting and calm making me laugh etc. They ended up going in through my wrist they made it as comfortable as they could for me.

There was also a nurse who stood out in particular within the whole surgery process who was absolutely fantastic, she was lovely caring and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable ( although all the nurses were great!)

I can’t thank everyone enough for their care and support!

We are pleased to read that you felt well cared-for by all staff and that they took their time to support you, put you at ease and help you to feel as calm as you could going into your surgery.
