"Lovely staff in the Gastro Clinic"

About: King George Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

As a sufferer of recently diagnosed Crohn's Disease I am a regular visit to the Gastroenterology Clinic at King George's. The old consultant, Dr Grainger was amazing but I must say, despite some anxiety about his retirement, the new consultant, Dr Samanta is just as amazing. I feel He is highly qualified and knowledgeable in his field and has always treated me with the upmost care and respect.

My main reason for this post was to praise Juliet-Rose, the Specialist Nurse who is the first point of contact in-between appointments if any issues / medication issues arise.

The treatment for Crohn's Disease usually includes very strong drugs and the ability to contact Juliet-Rose any time via email or telephone makes the ride a lot less anxiety provoking when things are not going well or one has concerns about their medication.

Due to suppressed immune systems, us Crohnies need to watch out for infections and need to be aware of what to do if one gets ill. I email Juliet-Rose on a very regular basis and always receive a caring and informative response. The service she provides is amazing and does the Gastro clinic at KGH proud.

Thank you so much

Also not forgetting Edna, the very helpful receptionist at Base 3!
