Visited DHH ED with my father following a fall
5hr wait to see Dr Yemi
Dr and all staff were lovely Xray and CT prompt and efficient.
Clinically this is a rotator cuff injury which needs ultrasound and probably surgery however aparently imaging does not accept ultrasound referrals from ED! I believe, this slows the patient journey and may negatively affect outcome!
Also……
Very poor signage to ED and within ED
Very poor communication
Seating not appropriate for the very ill or infirm
So far we have spent 1hour just waiting for a sling.
Sigh
