About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency Paediatrics / Acorn Ward

(as a parent/guardian),

All over this hospital trip has been horrid as A&E left us sat there for 5 hours and gave us milk at hour 3, and then waiting for my son to be discharged was horrible as it was tiring and I told them I needed to get home but they didn’t listen at all

Many thanks for your time in sharing your concerns when you have recently visited Acorn ward and A&E with your son.

I am very saddened to hear about your disappointing experience when you stayed with us in the Children’s unit. I am sorry to hear you were not listened to by our paediatric team to enable a timely discharge. I sincerely apologise for the understandable distress this would have caused you.

We have taken your feedback very seriously and it has been shared with our senior Paediatric clinical and managerial colleagues. We would very much like to have a conversation with you to further explore and discuss your experience.
