"Gave me the reassurance and support I needed."

I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in Dec 2024 and had a Mastectomy in March 2025. 

On discharge I was supported by the Community First Team. Initially they visited twice a day. They encouraged and supported me to regain my independence. After a week they reduced the support to 1 call and discharged me after 2 weeks. 

I would like to express my gratitude to the team. They made a very difficult time easier to deal with. All the staff were friendly, chatty and gave me the reassurance and support I needed. 

I would particularly like to mention Ilze (carer) who I felt went above and beyond. Once again, many thanks.
