"Moving the goalposts"

About: Inclusion Recovery Hampshire / New Forest

(as a service user),

I was set goals by the dr in order to get bupadel, I wrote my statement had my bloods done and a liver scan. Produced all clean tests, was told I was first on the list when funding arrived in April.

Committed to doing two meetings a week.

Have now been told I am doing amazing as it is on my script, and I no longer meet the criteria.

I am devastated it has upset everything, why say all these things and then move the goalposts. It’s unacceptable, giving people false hope I had my heart set on getting it.

I started on methadone went to espranor as advised my next step was bupadel.

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback to us.

I am so sorry to know how devastated you have been in hearing that your plan to change to Buvidal from Espranor was deterred.

This decision would have been discussed within our clinical team and your treatment journey reviewed on how well you have been engaging. So the outcome of your review it would seem would be of a positive nature as you have been doing so well.

Please do speak to myself or your Recovery worker to discuss this further if you would find this helpful.

Best regards

Gee
