"I have so much praise for the staff"

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with Alzheimers after being seen at Sheffield Hospital. When I was discharged from Sheffield I didn't know what would happen, did I just wait to die because I knew there was no cure?

We were given a council bungalow and it made my life so much better.

I didn't know that the wheel had been set in motion to get help.

I cannot believe how wonderful the different services have been, I didn't know about all the services available but they have all been brilliant. I couldn't have thought possible to get so much help.

Everyone has been so kind and such lovely people.

I do find it is so much easier to see people at home rather than phone calls. I don't get out very often and somehow I don't think my friends and family really understand how I am feeling or how to talk to me. No one asks how I am feeling, it makes me think they don't want to know so it is lovely when anyone from the care services come.

I have so much praise for the staff who have been so wonderful to me, God bless them, I just hope they realise how much they mean to me.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are very happy you are having a positive experience and we endeavour to support and advise you whenever we can. There is always someone on the end of the phone if needed, however we pride ourselves on home visits which are more person centred.
