"Yet more concerns regarding repeat prescriptions "

Yet again today, I have experienced problems with the repeat prescription service failing. Sadly not an isolated case, the admin side of the practice badly needs reviewing and updating.

So, upon visiting the practice to understand why the repeat prescription service had failed, and to indicate that I now have only a limited amount of meds, I requested an urgent prescription, I was told to check in two days time to obtain the hard copy prescription, not great when it was a failure on their part. (Sadly, this failure of the repeat prescription issue is not the first instance)!

Further problems since I joined the practice is that their in-house / linked pharmacy can't cope with prescriptions from 7 doctors and associated medical practitioners, there have been numerous occasions where I have been forced to wait in a long queue outside of the pharmacy so now chosen to use a separate pharmacy.

The website shows various ways to make contact / book appointments (listing phone, online and email), don't bother with email as you get a response telling you they can't action anything sent by email and to request a treage. I wouldn't mind but the email I sent saves on personal time wasteage but doesn't meet with their online regime. My wife visited the surgery recently to make an appointment (because she couldn't get through by phone) only to be told by the receptionist that she needed to book online despite her actually standing in front of her.

So, to conclude, many issues. All admin related.
