We recently welcomed our baby into the world through a planned home birth, and I cannot praise the Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) home birthing midwifery team highly enough. From the very beginning of my wife’s pregnancy journey, the care, compassion, and professionalism we received were truly exemplary.

The midwives took the time to build a genuine relationship with us. They were informative, supportive, and always made us feel heard and respected. Every appointment was unhurried and personal, and they offered balanced guidance while always respecting our choices.

On the day of the birth, Kylie was calm, confident, and incredibly reassuring. She created a safe and nurturing environment in our home, allowing the birth to unfold naturally while always being ready to act if needed. Their presence felt both professional and deeply human—something we will never forget.

Postnatally, their continued support and visits were just as impressive. They followed up regularly, ensured both mum and baby were doing well, and answered every question with kindness and patience.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have had access to such a dedicated and skilled home birthing team. To anyone considering a home birth within the GGC area: you are in very safe, capable hands.
