"The care was excellent"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Had day surgery at Wishaw for a shoulder replacement.  The lovely anaesthetist managed to get my wedding ring off just before they were about to cut it off. They made me relax before the anaesthetic and was looked after very well  in recovery.,

I was then transferred to ward 14 Level 1 care.  Well what can I say!  The care was excellent with constant monitoring and absolutely nothing was too much trouble.  Special thanks to nurses Lisa & Jill who mostly dealt with me.

I was then moved to ward 15 and again thank you for your care.  Marie Therese (not sure how to spell her name) from housekeeping was very  thorough in her job.  And Angela who helped look after me personal care and made me feel human again.

I was in a room lovely room with three lovely caring ladies, they really looked out to each other.  Thankfully I am now home for my recovery journey.  Thank you everyone. Hope you all have the experience I had.

Dear TJC,

Thank you for sharing your experience in University Hospital Wishaw.

I am pleased to hear that your operation went well and that you were very well looked after while in hospital. I am glad that you found the care excellent from everyone from housekeeping to the anaesthetist.

I will ensure that your kind words are passed on to the whole team who I am sure will get a real boost hearing your feedback.

I hope you are recovering well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
